Flip Lounged with LannaLee and got a couch!

Recorded in the aftermath of Huzzah! the Historical Wargaming Convention for New England, Flip brings the Bance! We talk about board games, clowning, balloon twisting and how to make the world a better place. Flip dishes that he met his wife Deb while playing Magic The Gathering. We chat about Flip The Table, playing HeartThrob, VHS tape games, and what BANCE really means. We commiserate about getting pulled over in our clown costumes, and reminisce about wearing our costumes in public. Flip talks about working as the Easter Bunny and tells me why he takes funny business seriously. And he answers 10 questions.

Flip Florey

Since his application to Starfleet as the first Jedi/Robot Lion pilot was denied at the age of 12, Flip Florey went on to greater things. Such as balloon twisting, clowning, boardgame evangelist, podcaster and student. Long time friend of the one and only Lanna Lee and fellow enthusiastic cat lover, Flip Florey is one bad bald dude that can’t dance and dreams about hunting down a copy of Vanilla Ice’s Electronic Rap and Rhyme board game one of these days.

LLL025 Bee Round: Tell the Story

Bee Lounged with LannaLee and got a couch!

Bee and Lanna talk about criticism, literature, writing and education. Bee explains why she dropped out of college and went to beauty school. Spoiler: they talk about spoilers, and why they each surround themselves with people who are easy to entertain. Bee goes back to school and she tells Lanna how it feels to have writer’s block. And she answers 10 questions.

Bee Round in her own words

Dilettante? Raconteuse? Can a woman be a Renaissance Man? Music, teaching, photography, writing, baking, collecting, musing… opining. Fame has never come knocking but I never asked for it either. Half the time I feel like I’m just tripping over all the things I’m interested in and and the rest of the time I’m apologizing for being such a hermit-nerd. I think “interested” people find themselves surrounded by “interesting” people and opportunities… If I had a philosophy for life that may be it… Be Interested.

I don’t need to think so much about myself, it’s none of my business. – Rob Gould

Rob Gould

Rob played an integral role in VIA’s efforts to earn this distinction. He also did other things. He can discuss most of them without using profanity. Rob loves VIA. A lot. Prior to VIA, Rob worked with agencies in London & Boston including Munro & Forster, Cone, Feinstein Kean Healthcare, and Lehman Millet. He began his career in the office of communications at Deaconess Hospital (now Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center), a major teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School.
