Pat and Lanna talk about how they met, girl geekdom, Edward R. Murrow, and better living through technology. Lanna asks Pat about her passions. Pat explains why she let go of a creative process and expounds on the awesomeness of her cats. And she answers 10 questions.Pat Washburn is a recovering journalist, a graduate student in computer science and a Web designer and developer. Under the name Jane Raeburn, she has written a couple of books about modern Pagan religion. Among the things that interest her are ways to use technology to tell stories and improve people’s lives. She still thinks the Internet is pretty neat. She lives in Portland, Maine, with two cats, four computers and her ex-husband’s TV.
Pat loves: naps, books (electronic and paper), swimming (she’s a late-in-life convert to the joys of exercise), and strong women characters.
