Here is what I wrote on my blog about the first drawing for the LannaLee Lounge Lizard monthly prize, where one lucky Lounge Lizard (email list participant) is chosen to get a prize.

Every month I will be drawing a name from the LannaLee Lounge Lizard mailing list. The person who wins will get a gift bag with bunches of goodies.

Each winner will be randomly drawn. First I assign a number to each person, then I use a random number generator to generate said number.

Our first winner of the LannaLee Lounge Lizard is my pal Trisha Smith. Normally I will mail the package to the recipient, especially if they live a couple of hours away. Fortuitously, today I will be in Trisha’s neighborhood and will be able drop this stuff off personally. I will take pictures, for sure!

The only difference between what is pictured (above) and what was received, is that there were also 3 Lounging with LannaLee pens included.

Yesterday I paid a visit to Trisha and handed her gift off to her. Here are a couple of pictures of Trish enjoying her stuff:

Becky McCray says that small businesses and small towns matter. She is a small town business owner, she and her husband Joe co-own a retail liquor store and a cattle ranch. She writes and speaks about small town business, and she and Chicago entrepreneur Barry Moltz are the authors of the book Small Town Rules.

She has been featured in The New York Times, BusinessWeek, and Entrepreneur Magazine. Her blog, Small Biz Survival, ranks in the top 20 small business blogs worldwide. Along with Sheila Scarborough, she co-founded Tourism Currents to teach tourism professionals about social media marketing. All of this from her home base in Hopeton, Oklahoma, a community of 30 people.

Here is a special episode of Lounging with LannaLee with three shorter interviews in it! Each person was asked the same five questions, but as you can hear, the answers run the gamut; from silly to serious.

The first two interviews are from Kansasians Jack Mace and James “Jiggy Jaguar” Lowe. I met them when I traveled on the road to the SmallTown2012 conference last week, and they were kind enough to chat with me for a moment. The third interview is from a video I shot with John Hill Rogers (converted to audio-only for your lisenting pleasure).

I love doing these shorter interviews, and I’ll keep doing them. Some of them will be available to everyone, others only for premium subscribers.
