Sarah schools Lanna on Stonewall and how the whole pride movement began. They talk about that marriage thing-a-ding. Sarah gives the finer points about the 7th annual Portland Maine Dyke March. Sarah Holmes is the Assistant Director of Student Life and Diversity, and Coordinator of the Center for Sexualities and Gender Diversity at the University of Southern Maine. She is very active in the LGBTQA (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning and allied) community. Among her involvements, she is one of the founders of the Portland Maine Dyke March, serves on the board of GLSEN Southern Maine (the Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network supports gay straight trans alliances in schools), and is an adult advisor with PRYSM (the Proud Rainbow Youth of Southern Maine, supporting LGBTQA youth age 22 and under). She and her partner, Anna Schwartz, live in downtown Portland.

Under the name Jane Raeburn, she has written a couple of books about modern Pagan religion. Among the things that interest her are ways to use technology to tell stories and improve people’s lives. She still thinks the Internet is pretty neat. She lives in Portland, Maine, with two cats, four computers and her ex-husband’s TV.

Pat loves: naps, books (electronic and paper), swimming (she’s a late-in-life convert to the joys of exercise), and strong women characters.

George Hamm is well known to Maine audiences as a frequent visitor to Portland’s Comedy Connection. Hamm has performed his comedy routines across the U.S. including the Bellagio in Las Vegas, the Improv in Los Angeles, The Comedy Store and the Laugh Factory in Hollywood and the Laugh Factory in Hawaii. In the past few years George has taken his act international, performing comedy tours in China and Mexico. In August of 2007 one of George’s lifelong dreams became a reality when he performed on Broadway, under the big bright lights of Times Square in New York City! A local comic headliner, Hamm has opened for the bands Cheap Trick, Tower of Power and blues legend Leon Redbone and for comedians Jay Mohr, Robert Schimmel, Bob Marley, Kevin Nealon, Anthony Clark and Harland Williams. Hamm has appeared in three independent films over the past several years Sundowning, Open-Mic, and Pennyweight, all of which are available on DVD!
